Our Mission
Hi, I’m Sian, founder of Foundation 14a. We’re here to unlock hidden talent, open doors, and empower communities. Our goal is simple: give people the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in meaningful careers, while building a sustainable economy. By focusing on work-related skills and making learning accessible to everyone, we help disadvantaged and at-risk communities break the cycle of poverty and create lasting success.
What We Do
Foundation 14a is all about supporting individuals facing social disadvantages. We help those from low-income backgrounds, those rehabilitating from crime and addiction, victims of bullying and violence, and those feeling excluded due to race, sexuality, religion, or disability. A welcoming environment awaits all those in need. We teach these individuals with compassion and understanding, providing pathways to escape negative thoughts and situations.

Our Approach
At Foundation 14a, we help people get back into work by teaching essential skills—literacy, numeracy, IT, CV writing, interview techniques, and motivation. We engage participants through Beauty Therapy, Nail Technology, Sports & Holistic Therapies, and sometimes craft, IT, or other interactive workshops. These activities act as a gateway to learning, while each course is tailored to the group, organisation, or budget to create opportunities that empower and transform.
